When it comes to search, some believe SEO is the most important, some believe it is SEM.

The first post of my new year resolution: Share more content 🙂
I want to start with one of the most controversial issues.
Different schools have different priorities in digital marketing.
Some prioritize social media, while others prioritize search or display.
I’m planning to share my perspectives on each, and let’s start with search.
When it comes to search, some believe SEO is the most important, some believe it is SEM.
If you have a very general business model, or have dozens of different SKUs listed on your site, or if you have a business with dozens of branches, you can get your money's worth for SEO investments. However, if you have a single branch or local business, SEO may not be your top priority.
Also, what kind of search keywords you should target with SEO is another matter.
Billions of searches are made on Google every day, and most of them are informational searches, not commercial ones.
I think it is a more correct strategy to target informational searches with SEO and searches with commercial intent with SEM.
I will make a more detailed post about commercial searches vs informational searches.
Happy new year!
